JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title Remanufacturing Technician I, $19/hr

Mon-Fri 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Reports to Production Supervisor

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
  • Identify serviceable vs. non‑serviceable parts.
  • Operation of semi‑automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers.
  • Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
  • Proper use of power and manual tools such as impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
  • Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.

    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
    • Good mechanical skills.
    • Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
    • Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions such as noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to Two years of related experience.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The anticipated wage scale for candidates in Springfield, MO is $19 per hour. Final pay will depend on factors including experience and education. Employees are eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans (medical, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance), a 401(k) plan, and receive 80 hours of vacation, 10 paid holidays, 2 personal holidays, and 6 weeks of paid parental leave.

    Eligibility for benefits is subject to plan documents and policy. Employees working on federal contracts will receive benefits consistent with the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements. Hired applicants may purchase company stock and receive annual bonuses based on achievement of certain metrics.
