The Impact You’ll Make in this Role- Lead the day‑to‑day operations of a production shift at 3M Springfield, providing direct supervision to production employees such as Operators, Lead Operators, and Trainers.
- Implement and manage daily improvements to meet business Safety, Quality, Service and Cost goals.
- Determine priorities and assign responsibility to meet customer needs in a safe manner.
- Create an atmosphere of fairness, employee engagement and accountability.
- Develop crew personnel to prepare them for future career opportunities or additional responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work on any shift as business needs require.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a union environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: chemical operations, extrusion, coating or converting.
- 5+ years manufacturing experience in a union environment.
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Experience with shipping, receiving and warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
- Springfield, MO on‑site
- Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic travel. - Relocation Assistance:

Applicable to U.S. applicants only: the expected compensation range for this position is $84,595 - $103,394, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors such as knowledge, training, skills, location and experience. In addition, the position may be eligible for a range of benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
