Viridian Staffing's client is looking for an experienced Extraction Lab Manager to oversee extraction and post-processing operations for a cannabis company in the Springfield, Missouri, area. This is a full-time, permanent position. In this role, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the extraction laboratory while leading a team responsible for extraction, refinement, quality assurance, quality control, and packaging activities.

You will work closely with senior leadership to establish production priorities, maintain product quality and consistency, and ensure manufacturing goals are achieved. You will manage daily laboratory workflows, staffing, training, production scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will monitor production and quality metrics, review testing results, troubleshoot operational challenges, and make process adjustments designed to improve output, product consistency, and efficiency.

You will also assist with laboratory planning, equipment selection and implementation, standard operating procedure development, and regulatory compliance. Your background should include at least 2 years of successful people-management experience in an extraction, laboratory, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment. You should have hands-on experience with various extraction methodologies (ie ice water, CO2, hydrocarbon, etc.), refinement, purification, post-processing, and analytical or quality-control practices.

Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting volatile extraction and related laboratory equipment is required. Experience producing a variety of cannabis concentrates is also required. A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline is preferred. You should have a thorough understanding of laboratory safety, equipment calibration, quality standards, production documentation, and regulated manufacturing practices.

You are known for your exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, data-analysis, and problem-solving skills. This position may require availability outside of standard operating hours when laboratory or production issues arise. Viridian Enterprises LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
