Welding/Grinder Position

Welding/Grinder will work a first shift, 10-hours per day with overtime on Friday and potentially Saturday. Pay is between $20-$24 an hour based on experience and test results. Essential job functions include setting up, operating, and maintaining manual welding, grinding, and/or cutting equipment. Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the industry. Inspect and perform quality checks to ensure conformance to established tolerances and specifications.

Perform inspection of work pieces for quality defects and communicate appropriately. Perform welding and grinding procedures accurately to avoid warping, shrinking, and distortion. Position and secure work pieces safely using overhead cranes, hoists, and other appropriate lifting devices. Grind work pieces to a #4 (32 RA) finish using approved safety processes and procedures. Set up, perform, and maintain various types of polishing equipment as needed.

Obtain and maintain at least one ASME Certification to be used as required. Meet all company quality standards and follow defined SOP's. Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position. Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
