Job PurposeReporting to the MoVAC DC Manager / Plant Manager and dotted line to the Global EOS Director, the EOS Lead - DC will coordinate, support, and lead local distribution center improvement activities and EOS implementation. This role will help improve operations and processes by strengthening Daily Management, accountability, problem solving, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement routines. Projects and activities will be aligned with site priorities, business goals, and EOS deployment expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Leads and supports local improvement projects, RIEs, Kaizen events, A3 problem solving, bottleneck reviews, and transformation plan actions.
- Supports MDI routines from an EOS perspective, including KPI updates, visual management, leader standard work, and daily performance discussions.
- Monitors Hey Do/accountability tags, follows up on timely closure, escalates barriers, and reinforces disciplined commitment management.
- Leads RCCM reviews and coaches teams on root cause thinking, effective countermeasures, and sustainable corrective action closure.
- Coordinates 5S activities, audit randomization, score updates, standard work reviews, and EOS documentation accuracy.
- Supports VSA preparation, current-state mapping, pink tag review, annual improvement planning, and project prioritization.
- Conducts or supports EOS maturity self-assessments, improvement plans, score uploads, and site-level governance reviews.
- Partners with Operations, Quality, EHS, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements.
- Supports visitors, team members, and site leaders by explaining EOS boards, routines, standards, and improvement activity progress.
- Creates and maintains tracking for EOS activities, project status, savings/benefits, 5S, RCCM, maturity actions, and other required reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and follow up at all levels of the organization.
- Results-oriented change agent with practical understanding of Lean/EOS principles, distribution operations, visual management, and project leadership.
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities, define project scope, track progress, remove barriers, and communicate results to site leadership.
- Ability to train and coach local managers, supervisors, and team members on EOS tools, MDI routines, problem solving, and standard work.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/reporting tools, and digital action-management systems such as Hey Do.
Ability to coordinate improvement activity across multiple functions and align projects with site priorities and business strategy.
Preferred Qualifications- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
- Distribution center, warehousing, logistics, material flow, or inventory improvement experience.
Experience supporting EOS maturity assessments, transformation plans, MDI boards, or leadership standard work.
