What You Will Be Doing:

The Director of Product Development is responsible for leading a team of experienced professionals with diverse skillsets and roles to innovate, identify, and create relevant products for traditional retail and eCommerce/social-commerce channels. This role is focused on driving the business to achieve and exceed growth targets for the Aura/S&T Inc. brands. The Director ensures product initiatives are aligned with Schroeder & Tremayne’s values, are timely, relevant, consistent across platforms, and support business growth within budget.

Additionally, the position leads the team in identifying industry and product trends and developing go-to-market strategies. This is a hands‑on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, trend-driven, digital-first retail environment.

  • Responsible for managing a compelling product story for a line of existing products
  • Lead development of specific products and/or product lines, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market initiatives, and management of marketing campaigns to raise awareness and generate demand for products and services
  • Engage with cross‑functional teams (Digital Creative/Social Media, Digital Commerce, Sales, Operations, etc.) to develop and execute schedules for product launches, promotions, and influencer campaigns
  • Ensure all communication and messaging related to products remains consistent across platforms and customer touchpoints
  • Champion product development processes such as market research, competitive landscape analysis, viability assessments, and intellectual property searches
  • Stay current on emerging trends, platforms, and technologies to keep S&T at the forefront of product innovation
  • Develop and maintain budget responsibilities for product development activities
  • 10% travel (domestic and international)
Qualifications and Skills
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, or equivalent field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product development, marketing, or brand management; with at least 2 years of experience working on a social-commerce marketing team
  • Costing experience and the ability to negotiate costs with vendors and suppliers
  • Experience with marketing channels including Meta, Google, Affiliate
  • Well versed in analytics, attribution and measurement to assess impact of marketing in a social-commerce business
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically to synthesize, prioritize, and drive results with a high sense of urgency and creativity
  • Solid financial and business acumen and ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to show up with an entrepreneurial spirit, roll‑up-your‑sleeves attitude, and a flexible mindset to achieve business objectives
  • Involvement with or interest/appreciation for the categories of products you will be working with on the Aura/S&T brands
  • Attention to detail is crucial! Because every day is different, you must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
