Cognizant's Global Marketing Social Media team is looking for an experienced social media strategist and manager — highly skilled in channel strategy, content marketing, and end-to-end campaign activation and oversight. The strategist reports to the Head of Global Social Media and serves as a strategic advisor to key stakeholders across the organization.
As a senior strategist, you'll partner closely with thought leadership, corporate communications, functional and vertical leaders, and brand/marketing to create and optimize engaging content for our social channels. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit and experience working with multiple stakeholders and guiding creative resources to deliver innovative social formats that deliver on business goals.
Responsibilities- Research current trends, audience needs and content gaps
- Deliver comprehensive content strategies for thought leadership, corporate initiatives, portfolio marketing, and news/announcements
- Conceptualize and oversee production of various content types for Linked In, Instagram, You Tube, Twitter, and emerging platforms such as Threads
- Partner with the brand team to bring content to life in creative, innovative ways
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Analyze and report on social media content and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations to guide future strategy and tactics
- Support the broader social team by identifying content opportunities and contributing to an evergreen editorial calendar
- 5+ years of experience in social media/content marketing
- Expertise in established and emerging social platforms and an understanding of who/how they are used and best practices across channels
- Strong copywriting/content writing skills
- Creative thinker with analytical and problem‑solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Interest in spotting and experimenting with social media design trends
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to create compelling stories and connect content through a digital journey
- Self‑starter and a keen ability to work on multiple projects as part of a team
