40 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Day Shift

Position Summary

The External and Digital Communications Coordinator supports the communications team in telling our story, protecting our brand, and engaging our community. Working closely with the External and Digital Communications Manager, the coordinator executes media relations activities, crafts compelling content across digital and traditional channels, and manages the organization’s corporate social media presence.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day social media management, including content creation, scheduling, and real‑time community engagement to ensure a consistent, professional, and responsive voice across platforms.
  • Track and report media activity, monitor online sentiment, and provide regular performance analytics.
  • Coordinate awards and recognitions, including submission preparation and publicity.
  • Assist with strategic storytelling initiatives that highlight Cox Health’s mission and priorities.
  • Share on‑call media duties with other members of the Corporate Communications team.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing.
  • Experience:

    At least two years of experience in a related field.
