Part time Marketing and Communications Assistant

Missouri State University is hiring a Part time Marketing and Communications Assistant. The role involves supporting the planning, promotion, and execution of library events and programs, managing outreach efforts, and coordinating logistics and communications with internal teams and external partners to enhance library visibility and engagement.

• Assist in developing, planning, and executing library events aligned with university goals
• Create and publish content for newsletters, blogs, and university calendars
• Design promotional materials and manage targeted email campaigns
• Maintain event records using CRM tools like Little Green Light and organize files in Microsoft Teams
• Support internal and external communications to coordinate event promotions
• Contribute to social media content planning, including light photo and video production
• Track attendance and engagement metrics; compile reports for continuous improvement
• Assist with event décor and setup to create visually engaging environments
• Required qualifications include event planning experience, high school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred), strong communication, and organizational skills
• Compensation ranges from $19 to $20 per hour, approximately 20 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends
