St. Louis Mens Group Against Cancer (STLMGAC) is seeking a creative, organized and highly motivated Communications & Community Engagement Manager to help grow awareness of our mission and the impact of our work throughout the St. Louis community. Founded in 1969, STLMGAC raises funds to support cancer research, prevention, and patient care, with hundreds of thousands of dollars awarded each year to local nonprofit organizations and programs.
This hands-on position would develop and maintain a communications calendar, create and schedule content for Facebook, Instagram and Linked In, write newsletters, website content and impact stories, and help expand community awareness and engagement.
- Manage social media content and scheduling across multiple platforms
- Develop newsletters, website content, announcements and compelling impact stories
- Create and maintain a communications calendar and organized content library
- Gather photos, stories and other mission-focused content
Track communications results and recommend ways to increase engagement - Maintain consistent branding and messaging
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in communications, marketing, PR, social media or community engagement
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Demonstrated social media and digital content experience
- Familiarity with email marketing, website management and Canva/basic design tools
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and the ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Part-time, approximately 25-30 hours per week
$30-$35 per hour - Reports to the Executive Director
- Works closely with development, program and volunteer teams
- Regular in-person and off-site presence is expected, with occasional evening/weekend events
- Opportunity for the role to potentially grow into more hours based on organizational needs
