Position ObjectiveThe Groups Associate will serve with the Growth Director to oversee Life Groups, the men’s discipleship groups (if applicable), and serve as the staff representative on the Men's Ministry Team (if applicable). The role supports Fellowship Bible Church’s growth and helps members grow in their love of the Gospel through intimate group life across the Southwest Missouri area.
Position DescriptionThe Groups Associate provides organizational support in assimilation (next step cards) and event planning related to spiritual growth for Life Groups, Men’s ministry/discipleship groups, and young adults. The Associate will care for existing Life Groups, pioneer new ones alongside the Growth Director, recruit and equip leaders, and provide oversight on key Growth Department events.

- Serve with the Life Group ministry:
- Onboard new Life Group Leaders, ensure their health and equipping, and match interested individuals to suitable Life Groups.
- Develop excellent Life Group Notes for Leaders.
- Help create and oversee systems for onboarding and multiplying new Life Groups (training/equipping, website logistics, orientation) to launch more healthy Life Groups, including college groups.
- Serve as the Growth Department’s Assimilation point person in collaboration with the Care and Connections Associate.
- Conduct next step calls for Life Groups and Discipleship Groups and others seeking growth opportunities.
- Communicate and care for Life Group leaders to ensure excellence in shepherding their groups.
- Serve on Men’s Team (if applicable):
- Plan and execute the annual Fellowship Men’s Conference with Department Directors.
- Oversee men’s discipleship groups, refining a system of care for existing leaders and recruiting new ones.
- Collaborate with the Care and Connections Associate to connect men through discipleship relationships.
- Organize, facilitate, and equip other men to lead Bible studies.
- Plan and execute regular community events (e.g., men’s breakfasts) to engage unengaged men in the area.
- Provide oversight on planning Growth Department events such as Abide, Released Leadership Conference, and Men’s Conference.
- Provide leadership to various church-wide initiatives as assigned by the Directional Lead Pastor.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- Because of these particular job responsibilities, this position qualifies for ministerial exemption.
