Team Lead Charge will assist in unit level operations for the 24-bed acute general medicine. They will help facilitate throughput on the unit level by assisting bedside staff with expediting discharges and admission throughout the shift as well as participating in interdisciplinary rounds. The Team Lead Charge nurses assist bedside staff with clinical tasks throughout the day to support patient safety and timeliness of care.
They will work directly with the staffing office throughout the shift to facilitate appropriate staffing on the floor as well as create assignments for the oncoming shift. TLC’s perform in the moment audits to ensure documentation and appropriate care is being performed to promote patient safety and quality of care.

Acute Care Medicine manages patients with a full range of clinical issues from significant blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, cystic fibrosis and a multitude of other conditions and diseases. Because of patient acuity, we provide advanced training to bring new nurses to the highest level of functioning. Each unit is led by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse.
The unit is supported by an advanced practice nurse. Additionally each unit is assigned a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist. This multidisciplinary team works in conjunction with the physicians, nurses and patient care technicians to provide quality patient care.
