Day Shift – 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week.

Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.

Duties include:

• Taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other assigned tasks.
• Obtaining information on patient condition as requested and reporting any changes.

900 Surgical – 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post‑operative care for gastrointestinal and genitourinary surgical patients. Also a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery. The unit features private and semi‑private rooms, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Functions within classroom and clinical learning environments to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. Clinical rotation includes:

• Basic patient care under supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff.
• Performing vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens.
• Reporting changes in patient condition.
• Completing competency assessment at end of training.

• Education: Preferred:
  High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: Required: 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long‑term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in past 3 years; OR completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within past 3 years; OR completed “fundamentals of nursing” course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program.
• Licensure/Certification: Must have Missouri CNA License and MO CNA Appendix; license to be obtained within 120 days of hire; BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong time‑management, analytical/problem‑solving, flexibility and multitasking; reliability and accuracy.
