Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with bathing and dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in condition.

Cox Health is proud to be a Level I Stroke and Trauma Center. The 800 Neuro-Ortho unit is a 26-bed unit that treats stroke, trauma, neurosurgical cases, and related conditions. The patient population ranges from 18 to 102 years old. The unit is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a culture of compassion, collaboration, and support.

Nurse Assistant Training ProgramJob Summary
Functions within classroom and clinical learning environments to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. In the clinical setting, provides basic patient care under the direction and supervision of the clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties within scope of practice. Information on patient condition is obtained and reported as requested.
A competency assessment is administered at the end of training.

Prior patient care or health care related experience
