Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

• Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reaction(s) as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $23.04 - $31.68.
