The Clinic Lead LPN works under the supervision of Clinic Manager and under the direction of the provider. The Lead Clinic LPN accepts responsibility for direction of the nursing staff in the implementation of patient care according to organizational policies and procedures.

• Greets and prepares patient for provider examination and treatment. Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition to provider.
• Assists provider with procedures and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures.
• Engages in patient/family teaching to achieve the desired patient outcome.
• Monitors the scheduling of patients, answers patient inquiries, and maintains timely flow of patients.
• Arranges for patient referral testing at other facilities or specialty care.
• Communicates with Clinic Manager and Medical Director to advise of any medical, nursing, risk management or patient satisfaction issues.
• Assigns patients and assesses nursing staffing during personnel call-ins, low workload, or staffing emergencies. Assists with patient assignment to provide skill level needed to care for patients.
• Performs clinical interviews and recommends other nursing staff to the Clinic Manager.
• Oversees the delegation of specifics of patient care to nursing staff.
• Evaluates LPN and techs yearly for competencies and performance on clinical skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program - Required

• 2 Years - Acute care nursing - Required
• 2 Years - Office nursing experience - Preferred

• LPNIV - Lpn Iv Cert - State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location - Required within 90 Days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days

• Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed - Required
