Job Summary

Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. The Emergency Trauma Center is a dynamic Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center recognized for outstanding trauma services in Missouri and Arkansas. It is the region’s only Regional Burn Center serving Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. The center includes 70 exam/treatment areas, 6 designated trauma suites, 11 pediatric emergency beds, specialty trained pediatric emergency physicians, specialty behavioral health resources, a SANE program, and positive relationships with board‑certified emergency medicine physicians.
The Center also offers an Emergency Trauma Center Nursing Fellowship – a full‑time, hands‑on program that increases skill set and comfort level in a fast‑paced environment. The Center has a pathway dedicated to the growth and success of our Graduate Nurses.
- Education:
Graduate of a state‑approved School of Nursing. - Licensure:
Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current Missouri temporary work permit. - Experience:
Must have hospital‑based experience. Preferred one year of Emergency Department experience. - Certifications:
ETC and Acute Care Center RNs must hold a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. - Certifications:
ETC RNs must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of hire. - Certifications:
ETC RNs must also hold current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire.
