Pediatric Registered Nurse - PRN - Night Shift

Job Summary

Facility:
Cox Health South, 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri 65807. Department: 1048 SLC-CH Pediatrics. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Shift hours:  Night Shift. The pediatric registered nurse provides care to infants, children, and adolescents, assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care for a wide variety of conditions including diseases, illnesses, and recovery from procedures.

• Assess, plan, and provide nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Deliver care to infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of medical conditions.
• Assist in recovery from procedures and management of ongoing treatments.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program (required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Experience: 1 year of pediatric or PICU experience (required).
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, effective leadership, strong time management, critical thinking/problem solving, flexibility, and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

• RN license active in Missouri (required).
• BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire (required).
• PALS certification to be obtained within one year of hire (required).
