Job Overview

Facility:
Cox Health South—3801 S National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807. Department:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit South. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Shift: Day (8:30 AM–6:00 PM).

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes.

• Preferred:
  High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• No prior experience required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibits valuable time management skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

• Nurse Assistant I –
  
  Required:
  
  Must have 3 months of Nurse Assistant, EMT, or Surg Tech experience within the past three years OR completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the past three years.
• Nurse Assistant II –
  
  Required:
  
  Must have passed the Fundamentals of Nursing course (usually this course is in the first semester of nursing school).
• CNA –
  
  Required:
  
  MO CNA License OR must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• Required:
  
  BLS within 90 days of hire.

• Medical, Vision, Dental, Retirement with employer match (20+ hours/week).
