Hours:

36 – 6:30PM to 7:00AM (Night Shift)

Level1 stroke and trauma center. 8th floor nursing unit caring for stroke, trauma, seizures, spinal fusions, traumatic brain injuries, craniotomies, telemetry patients. Fast‑paced, team‑oriented learning environment. RN and NA staff collaborate across disciplines. Nursing staff hold ACLS, Trauma certification, NIHSS; encouraged to pursue specialty certification.

Utilizes the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop care plans, implement and evaluate patient care. Provides direct and indirect care and leads patient care team toward goals per Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. Inspires staff to accomplish job objectives, boosts employee satisfaction.

• Assess patients and implement nursing plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care during night shift.
• Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Support charge nurse functions, if applicable.
• Maintain patient safety and quality standards.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in unit education and mentorship of staff.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – required.
• At least five years of clinical experience, including one year of charge nurse experience and one year in the specialty area – preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership and time‑management abilities.
• Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
• Active RN license in the state of Missouri – required.

Medical, vision, dental, retirement with employer match; additional benefits available for 20+ hours per week. Certification pay of $1.00 and BSN pay of $1.00.
