The Role
- Location:
St. Louis Children’s Hospital, One Children’s Place, St. Louis, MO 63110 - Full-time; 36 hours per week (three 12‑hr shifts, 7 am–7:30 pm)
- Weekend rotation, Holiday rotation
- Benefits eligible
- At least 2 years of Behavioral Health RN experience
- Prior experience in pediatrics (preferred)
- CPI trained (preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license

Role PurposeProvides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities- Promotes patient‑ and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals.
- Ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely (position is safety‑sensitive).
Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s – Nursing.
