RN Operating Room

Position requires assisting with vascular surgeries in the operating room and hybrid imaging suite. Collaborate with a team of nurses and surgical techs for endoscopic and open cases. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties in a manner consistent with mission, values, and service standards. Responsible for direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.

Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually works in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs.,

kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally.
