Hybrid eAcute Registered Nurse - Pulmonary - Part Time - Day Shift

Work hours:

24 hours per week (6:30 am – 7:00 pm), Day Shift.

The Medical‑Surgical Nurse manages the care of adult or geriatric patients with general medical or surgical conditions.

A hybrid virtual eAcute Nurse works at least one shift per pay period as an eAcute Virtual Med‑Surg nurse; remaining shifts are bedside.

Virtual nurse responsibilities include admission/discharge processes, care plan development, patient education, medication teaching, care coordination, mentoring new nurses, and real‑time quality and patient safety surveillance.

• Assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs.
• Maintain patient records and provide support and education to patients and families.
• Assist the bedside nurse with tasks that do not require in‑person intervention.
• Complete admission and discharge processes and care plan maintenance.
• Provide medication and discharge teaching.
• Coordinate care and mentor new nurses.
• Implement evidence‑based care and perform real‑time quality and patient safety surveillance.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN‑approved program.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Preferred:
  Preceptor and charge nurse experience.
• RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• Accountable for safe clinical practice.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrates effective leadership and time management skills.
• Strong critical thinking/problem‑solving skills.
• Flexible and able to multitask.

Complete a 12‑week orientation period as a bedside nurse prior to virtual training.
