Registered Nurse - Neonatal ICU Night Shift

NICU Nurse

Facility:
Cox Health South, 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri 65807. Department: 1045 SLC-CH Neonatal ICU. Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM). Scheduled weekly hours: 36.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and the plan of care for newborn infants, including those premature or with congenital deformities, delivery complications, and life‑threatening illnesses.
• Administer medications, perform complex procedures, and operate advanced technology.
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate all aspects of neonate care.
• Comfort neonates and provide education and support to families.

• Required:
  
  Graduation from an accredited nursing program or NLN‑approved program.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred:
  Previous nursing experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership abilities.
• Strong time‑management skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi‑tasking environment.

• Required:
  
  RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• Required:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days.
• Required:
  
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hire.
• Required:
  
  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within one year of hire.
