The 800 Neuro‑Ortho unit is a 26‑bed LevelI Stroke and Trauma Center that treats a wide range of complex conditions including stroke, trauma, and neurosurgical cases. Patients range from 18 to 102 years old, providing a diverse clinical experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
• Take vital signs, bathe, dress, move patients, and change linens as assigned.
• Obtain and report information on patient condition to nursing staff or clinical educator.
• Assist in clinical rotations as part of the Nurse Assistant Training Program.
• Perform additional duties within scope of practice as directed.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
• Experience: 3months as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long‑term care setting, EMT, or surgical technologist within the past 3 years; or completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program, or fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited program; or possession of Missouri CNA license (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong time‑management, analytical/problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days;
  Missouri CNA license or equivalent if applicable.
