Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position in Springfield, MO, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma facility and TNCC certification.

Details
  • 68-bed Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma, STEMI, Stroke, and regional burn center
  • High-acuity, busy urban trauma center seeing 200+ patients per day, with trauma and pediatric cases
  • Standard patient ratio of 4:1, though surge conditions may alter staffing levels
  • Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment
  • No float requirements
  • No on-call requirements
  • Weekends required as determined by facility scheduling
  • EMR:
    Epic
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Missouri or a Compact license meeting Missouri eligibility requirements
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, and NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start if not held at time of consideration)
  • Minimum 1 year of ED experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be reflected on resume
  • U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
  • No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., and pinch up to 15 lbs. for the duration of the shift
Additional Information
  • Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
  • Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes
  • Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available the entire orientation week
  • Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for assignments running between November 1 and April 1; declinations are not accepted
  • Black scrubs required; jeans and unprofessional attire are not permitted
  • RTO of up to 5 days is permitted but must be made up during the assignment; RTO will not be approved during the first week, and only 1 holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced bill rate
