- Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred:
Five years of clinical experience and at least one year of experience in Emergency Services, Case Management, Pre‑Hospital, Flight Nursing, or a Transfer Center.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and multitasking
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and critical thinking
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to efficiently use the electronic medical record
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines
- Goal oriented with initiative and potential for self‑development; maintains organizational and priority‑setting skills
- Delegates appropriately to other team members
- Current Missouri licensure as E.M.T.
-P - BLS must be obtained within 90 days
- Required:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. - Preferred:

The Capacity Management Coordinator is responsible for patient flow within the hospital and to and from outside sources. This position drives patient throughput by facilitating bed placement for patients designated for admission, discharge, and transfer. The Coordinator mitigates barriers to discharge by working with nursing staff, case management, and support departments.
The position sets capacity targets based on staffing, anticipated boarders, and projected bed needs. The Coordinator collects clinical information relative to a transfer request and facilitates the transfer by matching the patient’s clinical needs to the facility with bed capacity and service capability. The Coordinator collaborates with multiple departments within each hospital to foster relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff.
The Coordinator also identifies, trends, and reports barriers to patient throughput.
