Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice and the Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates skill in human relations and communications. Demonstrates clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Works in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands include lifting, pushing, and pulling patients and objects.
Requires the ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty. May involve minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
