Mercy seeks a Nursing Manager to lead compassionate, high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital setting. This role oversees daily nursing operations, supervises and mentors staff, manages scheduling and resources, and ensures compliance with clinical and safety standards. The Nursing Manager drives quality improvement initiatives, partners with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and supports a culture of diversity, innovation, and respect. Responsibilities- Oversee daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across units
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing staff, promoting professional growth and collaboration
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, admissions, and discharges to optimize bed utilization and service delivery
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
- Use data and metrics to drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Manage department budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation
- Lead training, onboarding, and performance evaluations for nursing team members
- Foster a culture of compassion, diversity, and respect aligned with Mercy values
- Participate in strategic planning and implementation of nursing and organizational initiatives
