Cox Health is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas. The organization includes six hospitals, five ERs, and over 80 clinics.

Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition.

Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Nurse Assistant Trainees are eligible to apply.

Job Summary:

• Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel.
• In the clinical learning environment, provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff.
• During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties within scope of practice as directed.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and report changes. At the end of the training, a competency assessment will be administered to validate learning.

Preferred:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred:
Prior patient care or healthcare-related experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills

• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• Availability to work on a consistent and timely basis
• Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks

• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
