Licensed Practical Nurse or Graduate LPN Surgical 3B

Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Only night shift currently available. Full time and part time available.

Qualifications:

•

Education:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation.

•

Experience:

Can be new or experienced LPN
Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Unit Information:

The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as:

• Head to toe assessments
• Telemetry monitoring
• NG tubes
• IV insertions
• CBI's
• Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care
• Drains
• Wound Care
