The Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position is located in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy trauma center within an emergency department. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI center, and regional burn center, serving a diverse patient population with high-acuity cases.

• Schedule:
  
  Evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid Missouri licensed RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA, TNCC, NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Trauma and pediatric experience, high patient volume (200+ patients/day), working in a high-acuity urban trauma setting.
• Experience:
  
  1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma facility preferred; no minimum experience required.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of Beds: 68
  • Patient Ratios: 4:1 routinely, adaptable based on surge circumstances
  • Equipment:
    Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC
• Additional Information:
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care across all age groups.
  • Coordinates with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to professional standards and hospital policies.
  • Must be flexible with schedule and available for orientation on day shift, including the entire week prior to shift change.
  • RTO (related to time off requests) must be arranged after the initial week; holiday requests are limited to one per assignment.
