Travel RN – Neurology / Telemetry (Nights)

Springfield, Missouri

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Neurology/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of care and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations

• Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date (submission without may be considered)
• Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 – April 1

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient neurology experience
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced neurology/telemetry environment

• Work at a nationally recognized facility that holds a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center designation, Level 2 Stroke Center certification, and a Primary Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission
