Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
- Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring for medical and cardiac overflow patients
- Float on a rotational basis as required; orient on day shift prior to transitioning to night shift schedule
- Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date (may be submitted without, but must obtain before assignment begins)
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Familiarity with telemetry equipment, IV pumps, lift equipment, and tube feeding pumps
- Personality traits that align well with this unit include being determined, decisive, and flexible
- Work at a recognized facility holding a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center designation and Level 2 Stroke Center certification, offering a high-acuity, clinically rich environment
