1. Position requires a current RN license that meets the criteria for eligibility in the state of Missouri. BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA, TNCC, and NIHSS must be obtained prior to start. Preferred experience includes trauma and pediatrics, high acuity in a busy environment. The emergency department has a capacity of 68 beds with patient ratios of 4:1, though situations may alter this.
Daily responsibilities include assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups. Coordinate care with other departments to optimize patient comfort and healthcare delivery. Follow established guidelines and standards of practice in nursing. Demonstrate strong clinical skills and effective communication. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations are essential. Engage in physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and pushing patients as needed.
