Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent nursing care in a behavioral health setting
  • Monitor patient progress and support individualized care plans
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support holistic care
Leadership & Healing Environment
  • Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
  • Build professional relationships with patients, families, and team members
  • Advocate for patient needs through collaborative problem‑solving
  • Continue learning through hands‑on coaching, on‑site instructors, and psychiatric provider training
  • Support structured therapeutic programming that promotes coping skills, goals, mindfulness, and life skills
Structured Programming Includes
  • Education and processing groups with RNs and therapists
  • MHT‑led groups focused on coping skills, goals, mindfulness, and life skills
  • Recreational therapy in designated spaces including the sensory room, library, gym, video game room, and newly constructed outdoor space opening this spring
Qualifications Required
  • Active LPN license in Missouri
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in behavioral health or pediatric nursing
  • Background in inpatient psychiatric care
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment
  • No behavioral health experience? We’re willing to provide training and support for the right candidate.
Schedule
  • 12‑hour shifts available: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend rotation required
