LPN, LPN​/LVN, RN Nurse

Mercy is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for flexible per diem/PRN shifts serving Mercy Springfield and surrounding communities. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate bedside care, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments, and document in the EMR while collaborating closely with RNs and providers. You'll float to various units or clinics as needed, supporting patient education, infection control, and safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care under RN/provider supervision
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs and symptoms
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and safety standards
• Document care accurately in the EMR/EHR system
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, and basic procedures
• Support patient and family education on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple Mercy locations
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety policies
• Float between Springfield and surrounding Mercy facilities based on staffing needs
• Participate in ongoing training and competency development
