American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Night shift position requiring a Missouri or compact RN license and at least 1 year of inpatient tele experience.
Details- Inpatient telemetry unit assignment on the facility's highest-need unit
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend hours required as needed by the facility
- No call requirements
- Rotational floating required
- Patient ratios vary by shift: days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:8 (estimates only)
- Uses Epic EMR
- Assignment length ranges from 13-26 weeks
- Active RN license (Missouri or Compact)
- BLS certification from AHA required
- 4 trauma credits required, or must be completed within first two weeks of start
- NIHSS certification required prior to start (may begin process before start date)
- ACLS certification from AHA preferred
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient tele experience required
- Experience and competence in drug titration required
- Trauma experience preferred
- Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Maintain professional accountability and evaluate care provided by other direct caregivers
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
- Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available for the entire orientation week
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
- Black scrubs required; torn clothing and open-toed shoes are not permitted
- RTO must be made up during the assignment and is not approved during the first week
- Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
- Local candidates accepted, subject to a 50-mile radius rule limiting local contractors to 3 consecutive 13-week assignments before requiring a 1-year break or transfer to a facility outside the radius
