Position Overview
The Charge Registered Nurse utilizes theoretical concepts to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
QualificationsMust have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN) and hold a current RN license valid in the state or compact licensure.
CertificationsRequired certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, with additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., or C-EFM depending on the unit. All certifications should be obtained within specified time frames.
Physical RequirementsAbility to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert nursing care, collaborate with a team, and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced emergency trauma setting.
