Role Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care delivered by team members. Coordinates patient care across departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and upholds organizational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms clinical duties such as telemetry monitoring, pacemaker/ICA care, post-angio care, TR band management, and administering five main medication drips. Participates in cardiac patient management, including CHF, chest pain, drug loading, pre-surgical procedures, and med/surg overflow patients.
Qualifications & Skills- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with licensure
- Current LPN license in the practicing state, maintaining licensure requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist with patient movement
- Basic Life Support certification required; IV certification preferred
- Experience as a new or seasoned LPN acceptable
Emphasis on cardiac care with STEMI certification, ACLS certification, and experience with cardiac procedures.
