The Nurse Manager position for the Orthopedic and Transitional Care Units at Meyer Orthopedic and Surgical Hospital offers a unique leadership opportunity spanning both acute and long-term care in a smaller, specialized hospital environment. The Orthopedic Care Unit is an acute care unit serving patients before and after surgical procedures. The nursing team supports patients through recovery, education, and preparation for a safe discharge home or transition to their next level of care.
The unit works collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience. The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) provides long-term care in a smaller, relationship-focused environment. This unit offers the opportunity to support both quality resident care and the regulatory and compliance standards unique to the long-term care setting. Leading both units provides a unique opportunity for a Nurse Manager who enjoys variety and wants to develop expertise across different areas of nursing practice.
Located separately from the main hospital, Meyer Orthopedic and Surgical Hospital offers a smaller, close-knit environment while remaining connected to the resources and support of the larger health system.
The Nurse Manager provides leadership for daily operations, team development, quality and patient safety, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
