American Traveler is hiring a Neurology/Tele LPN for night shifts, requiring 1+ year acute care experience and current LPN/LVN licensure (license required if applicable).

• Neurology/Tele unit with 32 beds
• Patient population includes neuro, med, and med-tele cases
• Uses telemetry, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• Weekend hours required as needed by facility
• No on-call requirements
• Floats on a rotational basis
• Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week

• Current LPN/LVN license required if applicable, meeting Missouri licensure eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in an acute care hospital
• BLS/CPR certification from AHA only
• IV certification required
• Proof of flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1-April 1 (no declinations accepted)
• Ability to stand and walk for most of shift, bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs, and kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients post trauma, surgical intervention, and medical comorbidities
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
• Black scrubs required; no other colors accepted
• RTO must be made up during the assignment and is not approved during the first week
• Only one holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• Local candidates accepted
