** Position Summary
** A unique opportunity to join a compassionate and growing neonatal care team serving families across beautiful Springfield and the surrounding region. The NP will be employed by the prestigious Washington University (WashU) while working in coordination with Missouri’s #1 Children’s Hospital all while being in the heart of the Ozarks.
Provides advanced clinical care to premature, critically ill and medically complex newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and affiliated newborn care settings. Works collaboratively with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based neonatal care.

Hours:

Full-time; 24-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-6:30 PM).

Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of neonatal patients in the NICU setting.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to critically ill and premature infants.
* Preform advanced neonatal procedures including intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, and neonatal resuscitation.
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Communicate effectively with families regarding patient status, treatment plans, and education.
* Participate in delivery attendance for high-risk births.
* Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation via EPIC EMR.
* Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based neonatal practices.
