American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Main Operating Room position requiring Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience and both scrub and circulator skills.
Details- Work in the Main Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Orthopedic units of a hospital environment
- Unit sizes include Main OR 22 beds, ASC 8 beds, and Ortho 10 beds
- Patient population ranges from outpatient to critical care inpatient
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Utilizes various OR equipment including the DaVinci surgical robot
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Day shift schedule, 4x10,
- Weekend hours required as needed by facility
- Call requirements apply on any scheduled day, averaging 5 or fewer calls per 8 weeks
- Floating required as needed by facility
- Active RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience required; teaching hospital experience considered
- Scrub and OR Circulator experience required
- Must be able to stand and walk for most of shift
- Must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs, and kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1
- Assist Vascular Surgeon in OR and Hybrid Imaging suite
- Collaborate with a team of nurses and surgical techs on Endo and Open cases
- Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
- Black scrub color required; jeans and unprofessional attire not permitted
- Highly motivated self-starters preferred
- Up to 5 days RTO allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility at a reduced bill rate
- Subcontractor staff within 50 miles are restricted to 3 consecutive 13-week local contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer outside the radius
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
