Position OverviewWe’re on the hunt for a team member to join us in our effort as a Clinical Research Assistant. As a Clinical Research Assistant, you’ll assist with clinical trial procedures as an integral part of the research team. Your direction will be assigned by the Director of Research, but your day‑to‑day could take many forms, from hands‑on time with patients to driving around Springfield on supply runs or touching up protocol training, everything you do plays an essential role in advancing tomorrow’s medicine— today.
Responsibilities- Assist with laboratory functions such as blood draws, maintaining lab kits, processing lab samples, and shipping labs
- Perform visit assessments such as weight, blood pressure and ECG
- Provide administrative support to the research team members
- Communicate effectively and work in collaboration with the research team to meet study objectives
- Aid in recruitment and phone screening of potential patients using the patient database
- Comply with institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Travel in and around Springfield for supply pickup and specimen drop off
- Manage storage and retention of study documents as outlined in study protocols
- Prioritize workload, plan, organize, track, and follow up on projects and tasks to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks accurately
- Complete word processing, spreadsheet, and database data entry, including correspondence, records, reports, scanning, emailing, copying, and other tasks as directed by the study—done neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Conduct patient visits, in person and by phone
- Report punctually in‑office Monday‑Thursday, 08:00 am‑05:00 pm and Friday 8 am‑12 pm

The hourly rate for this position is $18–$22 and is based on the depth of your skills and prior experience.
