Retail Internet Used Firearms

Position Summary

The Retail Internet Used Firearms Specialist position is responsible for creating accurate descriptions and capturing high‑quality images of the store’s selection of used firearms. The role uploads these descriptions and photographs for the online website, maintains a current inventory, and assists in making used‑firearm sales through customer interaction via e‑mail, mail, telephone, and personal contact.

• Creates and uploads accurate descriptions and high‑quality images of used firearms.
• Maintains a current online inventory, adding and deleting firearms as they are acquired, disposed, or transferred.
• Evaluates and purchases used firearms, acquires them into the bound book, and ensures proper payment to customers.
• Initiates 4473 forms, conducts the final check of applicable company, state, and federal forms prior to transfer.
• Provides excellent customer service through email, mail, telephone, and face‑to‑face interactions while processing firearm transactions in accordance with internal policies and law.
• Produces monthly sales audit reports for used‑firearm online activities.
• Ensures all firearms are acquired legally and in compliance with ATF, state, and local laws, completing required forms and certifications.
• Assists with receipt of firearms, performs audits, mounts optics, checks, clears, and prepares firearms for retail sale.
• Evaluates and appraises used firearms using historical knowledge and resources.
• Responds to customer issues with good judgment, solving problems within the job scope.
• Maintains visual standards including restocking, remerchandising, cleaning fixtures, and housekeeping in the department and back‑room.
• Participates in ongoing training on firearms, shooting disciplines, systems, compliance, and selling skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0‑2 years of experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to all regulations.
• Ability to provide legendary customer service to every customer.
• Ability to operate a camera and computer to upload photos and maintain descriptions.
• Knowledge of purchasing firearms by working in the industry or collecting firearms.

• Constantly remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery or power tools.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
• Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift and move objects weighing 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.
