As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00–$17.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.

- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 12–18 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. The use of technology is critical for task communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be expected to work additional days and extended hours, including the holiday itself and weekends.
- Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Teams are notified at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.
- One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the week and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to consistently lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
