About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with a mid-sized, growth-oriented industrial services organization seeking an experienced Account Sales Manager to support and expand its presence across the Midwest, with a primary focus in Northwest Ohio and surrounding regions.

This role is open due to territory expansion and added headcount, as the organization continues to grow its industrial services footprint. Leadership is seeking a seasoned sales professional with true industry experience and existing plant-level credibility, capable of operating independently in a high-autonomy, performance-driven environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in a relationship-based, consultative sales role, understands how industrial plants operate, and is comfortable owning the full sales lifecycle in a field-based position.

Job Description:

The Account Sales Manager will be responsible for selling industrial services and project-based solutions into oil & gas, energy, and heavy industrial environments. This is a service-focused sales role (not product sales) requiring strong industry knowledge, the ability to build trust with operations and maintenance leaders, and experience managing opportunities from initial identification through project execution and invoice collection.

This is a remote, field-based role with heavy local and regional travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a defined territory and book of business
  • Develop new relationships within oil & gas, energy, and heavy industrial plants
  • Identify maintenance, compliance, inspection, and outage-related opportunities
  • Build scopes of work, proposals, pricing, and contracts
  • Negotiate terms and close service-based deals
  • Maintain involvement through project execution to ensure successful delivery
  • Manage collections and invoice follow-up
  • Track pipeline activity and performance against monthly sales targets
  • Travel locally and regionally to client sites via car and plane
Qualifications:
  • 3–7+ years of sales experience within oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial services
  • Proven success selling industrial or engineering services (not products)
  • Strong credibility with plant-level stakeholders (operations, maintenance, reliability)
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle independently
  • CRM experience required (ERP/CRM platforms preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with relevant industry experience
  • Comfortable with heavy regional travel
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable
