Are you up for the challenge of bringing your expert sales, business development, and region leadership to the table in a sales role to help propel a growing and respected construction materials industry firm? Our client is seeking a sales leader to serve as the Regional Sales Manager. The qualified individual will be responsible for leading and managing a defined territory in the Midwest including Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Colorado to identify and capture additional sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing relationships in the construction industry with architects, project managers and developers. Experience in marketing Division 4 products is ideal, but not required.
The primary function of this position is to serve as the leader of sales for the region, working to develop strategies to increase market penetration, including both new and existing client engagements. This role will be responsible for creating relationships with new clients and deeper relationships with existing clients.
Essential Functions of the Regional Sales Manager- Ensure achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
- Collaborate with internal contacts on marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals
- Identify and help resolve issues across the sales, marketing and account management functions
- Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle
- Work with other members of the internal team to execute the current corporate strategic plan and sales development plan
- Ensure that the marketing function is supporting and improving the individual client experience
- Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
- Help maximize reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way
- Build and foster industry relationships with key leaders
- Solid knowledge of business-to-business construction materials sales, ideally on a regional level
- Ability to interface at customer’s most senior levels
- Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Consultative selling, solutions selling, negotiation and advanced client management skills
- Strong business, financial, operations and construction acumen
- Experience and proven track record of developing and managing sales and relationship growth
- Experience and record of success developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive sales and business development plan regionally, offering multiple brand solutions
- Construction selling, ideally Division 4
- College degree preferred, but relevant experience is essential
