Position Overview
Trades Specialist – Kansas City, MO. A virtual field sales role within our Commercial Construction team, focusing on selling DEWALT, BLACK+DECKER, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, and other partner brands to end‑user customers.
Responsibilities- Achieve top‑line sales targets based on division and local market goals.
- Build, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners, including managing CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
- Teach and mentor the local market team on end‑user development, purchasing processes, and alignment with local market teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers.
- Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and use as a CRM and planning tool.
- Communicate successes and failures in a timely manner to streamline processes and improve future outcomes with key accounts and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field (preferred) or equivalent construction field experience.
- 3+ years of experience in sales or marketing for construction supplies with a proven track record.
- Experience selling to high‑level executives, C‑Suite, and jobsite directors (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Empathy combined with determination to achieve outstanding results.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Bilingual language skills are a plus.
The Total Target Cash Compensation range for this position is $84,000.00 – $, inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation. Compensation may vary based on level, location, and other factors.
